2000 Joins the design team at MTV.com . • Exhibitions of work in Washington D.C. and Hoboken, NJ. The Washington Post describes work as "...an impressive exploration of the white middle-class male psyche." Jay finds himself. • Buys a fully manual Nikon FM2 from E-Bay and realizes what he doesn't know about photography. • Photographs of Paris in the fall... • Experiments w/ interactive photography using a fisheye lens.
2001 Creates print edition of Picture Pairs. • Begins photographing vans in NYC almost exclusively. • Photographs and assembles immersive, 360 degree images for MTV of TRL Studios and Real World houses in NYC and Chicago. • Trips to New Orleans, Boston, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon. Narrowly avoids high-speed collision with a deer on pitch-black Arizona highway. • Witnesses collapse of World Trade Center from across the Hudson River on September 11 • Sinks deeper and deeper in debt. 2002 Exhibits Picture Pairs at the Jersey City Museum. • Trip to New Orleans to photograph screaming teens and eat fried food. • Trip to Cancun to photograph bikinied ladies and drink tequila. • Off to England to photograph grass • Searches for a new home. Lays it all down for one floor of a 19th century brownstone in Hoboken, NJ. • New Macintosh G4

2003 Elopement with Desiree in Scotland on Valentines day. • Trip to Paris to photograph the Real World. • Dislocates shoulder snowboarding in the Alps. Mends in Munich, Germany • Promotion to Senior Design position in charge of cross-site design standards for mtv.com • Disillusionment over the state of the nation and anxieties in NYC. Gets 2 Cats.

2004 Birth of Claire Goldfinger, March 25. • Trip to the south of France. Swimming in the Mediterranean. Perfuming in Grasse • Purchase of 24" BMX bike to ride Hoboken skatepark. Source of fun and injuries • Creates new site for MTV2 • Buys used Fuji 6x7 camera. Lots of photos of Claire, not much of anything else.

2005 Playing with Claire and her Mom • MTV2.com launches • Expecting a new daughter in June
