In 2004 the cable channel MTV2 re-branded itself as an alternative destination for rock and hip-hop entertainment for young men. I worked with the digital production team and channel VP to re-imagine what an entertainment site could be. I design directed the site through a series of presentations of information architecture, look-and-feel studies, interactive mockups and functional prototypes. The team’s collaboration led to such distinct features as creative site intros, a defecating two-headed dog logo, prominent display of photography, and a new interactive advertising model.

My focus on consistency in site architecture and design detail led to my designation as Senior Designer in charge of cross-site design standards for MTV.com. Working with site design parameters for the US site set in early 2002, I developed an intranet style guide reference for designers and producers. I was also lead designer in a variety of facelifts implemented on the homepage, hub pages and cross-site navigation, as well as a template for dynamic show content.
